A limited edition reprint of the original work. Number 461 out of 825.In the publisher's original quarter cloth with paper to the boards and the original unclipped dust wrapper.With a woodcut illustration to the front of the dust wrapper, a facsimile of the original title page, headpieces and illuminated letters.This limited edition work features a reprint of a 1598 poem that was started by Christopher Marlow and finished by George Chapman. The poem is about the Greek myth of Hero and Leander and their love. This work is the second from 'The Haslewood Reprints' series. In the publisher's original quarter cloth with paper to the boards and the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally very smart with very light rubbing to the head and tail of the spine, light fading to the extremities to the boards with light handling marks to the head and very slight cockling to the rear. Offsetting and the odd spot to the endpapers. The wrap is generally smart with fading to the spine, handling marks, chipping and a 2 inch closed tear to the head of the front and to the spine. Fading to the spine to the verso. Internally firmly bound with bright and generally clean pages with the odd spot, heavier to the front. Very Good Indeed. book.
