The story featured in 9 issues from 1652 to 1660, here we have for sale issues 1655, 1656, and 1657. Each of the comics is complete, they have some browning and light soiling to the pages, No.1655 and 1656 have a hole towards the top corner that goes through the comic, the title on the front cover of No.1657 has been drawn on and it has some calculations written towards the margin of the rear cover.

In generally good order, foxing noted (particularly to Tom Merry's Secret), page edges of some volumes browned, back covers a little grubby, some covers a touch creased, the spine of D'Arcy on the Warpath taped. Martin Clifford was one of the pseudonyms used by Charles Hamilton, his best known one being Frank Richards, which he used for his Billy Bunter stories. The St Jim's school stories started in The Gem in the early 1900s. In the early 1950s Hamilton wrote these 11 new stories for Gold Hawk Books which were published monthly from February 1952.
