Paper covers, 48 pp. Exhibition Catalog published by Comitato Provinciale Unicef di Roma for the exhibition of Barbara (Kaczmarowska) Hamilton's pastel portraits held November 27 to December 9 2002 at the Sala die Borgogni. Text in Italian with some (but not all) English translations. In good+ condition. Glossy pictorial paper covers have light bumping and creasing to edges and corners and moderate overall scuffing with some of the color rubbed off along edges and spine. Binding tight. Pages clean and unmarked. NOT Ex-library. NO remainder marks. High-gloss reproductions of Hamilton's pastel portrait, with many pastels of classic sculpture. [from last page] Barbara (Kaczmarowska) Hamilton was born in Sopot, Poland. She graduated from the Academy of Art in Gdansk and then continued her studies at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice. She specializes in portraits in pastels and oil. The artist became internationally famous thanks to her great skill in the art of portraiture. She lives in London and divides her working time between England, Italy and USA. In 1994. the President of Poland inducted Barbara Hamilton into The Order of Merit "in recognition of her precious contribution to the spreading of Polish culture and art". Her sitters include amongst others: His Holiness Pope John Paul 11, H.M. Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, H.R.H. the Duke of Kent, his daughter Lady Taylor, H.R.H. Prince Michael of Kent, the Duchess of York with her daughters Beatrice and Eugenie, Prince George Vassilchikov, Sir Denis Thatcher, Princess Marianne Bernadotte, H.R.H. the Duke of Braganza, H.R.H. the Duchess of Braganza with her children, Princess Tatiana Metternich, Douglas Fairbanks Jr, Buzz Aldrin, Count Paolo Filo della Torre, Margaux Hemingway, Alberto Moravia, Giorgio De Chirico, Renato Guttuso, Lech Walesa and recently H.R.H. Princess Anne and Princess Letizia Giovanelli.
