Third revised edition hard back binding in publisher's original forest green paper covered boards, blocked and lettered gilt back. 4to. 10'' x 8''. Contains (xiv), 578 pp with 35 plates, showing approximately 18 specimens each plate (29 in full colour) and numerous line illustrations throughout. This volume was purchased from a professional entomologist who displayed his specimens in cases preserved with ethanol isopropanol, consequently it does carry a feint whiff of this chemical as his library was also stored in the laboratory. Very Good condition book in Very Good condition dust wrapper with sun fading around the spine. Dust wrapper supplied in archive acetate film protection.
