Dust jacket has chips to edges, a large on (~1"x1.5") on the top of the spine and rear cover. Some toning, but Brodart protected dust jacket is still solid. A very nice, solid copy. First edition. Inscribed by the wife of the author. Hardcover. Quarter bound in two-tone synthetic cloth, spine and front panel lettered in gilt. Fine in original slipcase. A scholarly account of the subject, well illustrated with b/w photographs (mostly brain cross-sections) and charts, by a well-known Californian neurologist at Los Angelos County General Hospital. The free endpaper has a warm inscription by the neurologist's wife, to a friend, dated 1971, along with a bookmark which notes other medical texts by Dr. Courville. This heavy book will cost more to send overseas, than any default postage rate noted ($25 US an estimation).
