    [Wild West] 19th century and early 20th century collection of 18 cowgirl postcards depicting cowgirls on their horses firing rifles, pistols, lassoing, galloping, and other action poses. Some are black and white real photo postcards other are early colored Lithographs and Chromolithograph. These 18 postcards are Circa 1880s to 1920, the era of the west. Each 5.5" x 3.5". With vibrantly colored images and show a series of cowgirls with donning bandoliers, rifles, and pistols, and almost always on horseback with a rugged Wild West backdrop. There are wild horses and cattle in the background. In one scene, the cowgirl is firing her revolver with a muzzle flash emitting from the pistol as the horse cocks back. In another postcard she is lassoing, with the rope above her head. Notes on the back reflect a Western theme: "Dear Uncle, Brainard is quite a town and plenty of saloons here."
