Albert Cushing Crehore (1868-1959), who graduated from Yale University in 1890, attended Johns Hopkins for a year before moving to Cornell, where he collaborated with Fredderick Beddell on research into alternating current. By 1911, Crehore had started working on atomic theory, and developed his own theory of the atom that stood in stark contrast to quantum theory developed by Niels Bohr. This copy is signed to his daughter, Dorothy. Original brown printed wrappers.
