Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware - In Bonafide Fool, Jon Marc Creighton passionately applies everyday activities, anecdotes and simple logic to shed light on Professionalism, People Skills, and Priorities, 3 character-building behaviors that, though overused in word, are growing more and more extinct in deed. Bonafide Fool exposes the subtle ways the wool is pulled over our eyes and walks us through the process of rediscovering our value and the worth of others by taking us back to the beginning.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. First Edition First Printing. 8vo. 382 pages. Hardcover bound in yellow cloth with cover designs embossed in red and brown. The binding shows moderate wear and the spine is browned and spotted. A sound copy with secure inner hinges. Original owner's 1925 Christmas inscription and signature on the front flyleaf. A sound copy with clean text. Illustrated with a color frontis and four other black and white plates. A rare title by Evelyn Scott (pseudonym of Elise Dunn, 1893-1963) and Cyril Kay-Scott (pseudonym of Frederick Creighton Wellman, (1873-1960). Evelyn and Cyril where common law partners who ran off to London and Brazil together and changed their names. Their lives were adventurous and bohemian and each had affairs. In 1922 they were living in Bermuda and entertained Owen Merton (Thomas Merton's father) who encouraged Cyril / Wellman to take up painting while himself having and affair with Evelyn. They eventually "divorced" in 1928 (theirs was a common law marriage) but remained close. This appears to be the only book that the two wrote together and is rather scarce. Evelyn Scott (Elsie Dunn)was born in Clarksville, Tennessee. Cyril Scott (Frederick Creighton Wellman) was born in Kansas and died in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He was the father of North Carolina writer Manly Wade Wellman through his first marriage.
