Illustrated Boards in Slipcase. Condition: As New. First Edition 1/1000 Deluxe. 258pp, profusely illustrated in color and b&w. Text in English. " R. Crumb has selected his most intimately revealing comic strips and single page drawings to create a two hundred and fifty-eight page encyclopedic trip through his sexual psyche. All images were created between 1980 and 2006, and all strips are hand-colored for a lush vibrancy never seen in his comic books. In total, "Robert Crumb's Sex Obsessions" features fourteen complete stories, including "My Troubles With Women", "If I Were a King", "A Bitchin' Bod", and "How To Have Fun With a Strong Girl", as well as sixty single page drawings. This signed slipcased edition limited to one thousand copies is a work of art in itself, with every part of the book - front and back covers, spine, and introductory pages - created for this project by Robert Crumb. Each book comes with an art print selected by Mr. Crumb. A brand new, pristine example sealed in shrinkwrap still in the publisher's printed cardboard shipping carton. PLEASE NOTE: Additional shipping costs are required for this item beyond our standard rates due to its weight and value - we will inform you of the applicable amount at time of purchase. Hardcover. Condition: New. Crumb, Robert (illustrator). Limited Edition. SIX BOOK BOXED SET limited to just 1,000 copies worldwide with signed color art print. Taschen 2012. Signed. 1st Edition. Limited Edition. Slipcased. This six-book boxed set is the first collection of Robert Crumb sketches to be printed from the original art since the hard-bound, slipcased, seven volume series issued by the German publisher Zweitausendeins between 1981 and 1997. Unlike the Zweitausendeins edition, which included every doodle ever made by the preeminent underground artist, this best-of edition has been personally edited by the notoriously picky artist to include only what he considers his finest work, including hundreds of late period drawings not published in previous sketchbook collections. Robert Crumb requested that the books representing the second half of his career be published first due to fan demand for new Crumb material (Volume 1 covers the period 1982-2011, and Volume 2 covers the period 1964-1981). In the last 20 years Crumb's artistic output has slowed considerably, making new works more rare and highly prized. This collection of over 600 unseen drawings created between 1996 and 2011 makes this a must-have collectible for every Crumb fan. The slipcased set is made with loving attention to detail in a size and format selected by the artist. Each book in the boxed set contains 224 pages, for a total of 1,344 pages of prime Crumb. The set includes a hand-written introduction, and marbleized page edges from a design created by the artist. Each set of this 1,000-copy limited edition also includes a signed color art print of a Crumb original. 1344 pages. Size: 8" x 11" (203mm x 279mm). Signed by Illustrator.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good+. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good+. First Edition Thus, Limited, Signed. Two slipcased sets of six hardcover volumes each, still partially in publisher's shrink wrap, with first set housed in the original shipping box. Both sets are limited to 1000 copies, and are accompanied by a signed art print. The first set is marked as no. 0799/1000 copies, while the second is marked as no. 0380/1000. The shrinkwrap on the first set is opened a bit sloppily at the front, giving access to the books, which have mild wear to their spine ends and cover corners, while the wrap on the second set is splitting at the front corners and has some small areas of soiling, but is not opened, and the books appear unworn. Overall, this is a solid, bright and clean, Very Good+ collection, housed in like slipcases, which have mild bowing to the side panels at the opening, and some mild wear to the corners, with a heavier bump and some creasing to the lower left rear corner of the case for Vol. 7-12, which may impact the lower corners of Vol. 7. The shipping box (for Vol. 1-6 only) lacks some of the internal reinforcements, has general wear to the corners and edges, a few smudges to the sides, thin creasing to the top panels, and weakening along the top folds, but remains clean and solid overall. Additional images are available by request, and higher shipping rates may apply. ISBNs - 9783836524438 (Vol. 1-6, 2014) 3836524791 (Vol. 7-12, 2012).
