Soft cover. Condition: As New. New in publisher's shrinkwrap. An unusual accordion-style set of two-color postcards created when a group of six leading cartoonists got together in France. Each uniquely met the challenge of creating "a nude with a baguette." Participating artists were Robert Crumb, Aline Kominsky-Crumb, Art Spiegelman, Peter Poplaski, Frank Stack, and Lorenzo Mattotti. Each card measures approximately 4 x 6 inches. The folded "accordion" is thick enough to have a "spine" with title for display on a shelf. Seven postcards in all, counting Crumb's hand-lettered title card. Crumb's primary card features a typically zaftig woman. His wife Aline drew the only male nude while Zorro-obsessed Poplaski has his nude fencing with the baguette. Pulitzer Prize winning Spiegelman (Maus) places his title subjects fittingly in a concentration camp. Italian graphic novel artist Mattotti's nude is covered with exotic tattoos. Frank Stack is better known to some underground comix fans as Foolbert Sturgeon. Fine.
