Zanders hand made paper. 4 blank endsheets, sheet with DANTE, followed by sheet with LA DIVINIA COMEDIA, followed by sheet with INFERNO, text page 6 begins on the reverse of this sheet. pp. 6-458, (1) and colophon on back of this sheet, followed by 5 blank sheets. Wide margins, untrimmed edges top edge is gilt and there is a single gilt lined ruled around the covers. Bound in full vellum by "Bremer Binderer, F.TH. (Fieda Theirsch, best known as Adolf Hitler's personal bookbinder, an artisan of note who first studied with Charles McLeish of the Doves Bindery. This information courtesy of Nudelman Rare Books).
