First Edition
Soft cover. Condition: Poor. 1st Edition. Unstated first printing of the Bantam mass market paperback--i.e., 'Bantam Edition Published January,1949'. Still, this paperback (Bantam 506) is only a reading/reference copy because of water damage, including a photo section in which most of the photos are obscured by water spotting in whole or part. Also has dark rub-like staining on the rear cover, the inside covers, and adjoining pages. The wrapper is starting to pull free at the rear hinge and there is some clear tape in the rear. At the same time, the somewhat age-tanned contents remain fully legible and there are no loose or shaken leaves. Not an ex-library copy.
