Condition; Original Quarter leather & mottled hardback binding, Very Good, some minor edge rubbing. 5 raised bands to spine. Contents mostly very good, clean & tight. Did not see any inscriptions,none to endpapers front or rear. to base of title page is a lightly stamped round stamp but unable to decipher. Some very minor light foxing, but noticeable to title page, some pages with minor edge /finger loss. Greek text with Latin text to title page & footnotes only .Athenaeus of Naucratis / Naucratita was a Greek rhetorician, grammarian, & historian about the end of the 2nd /beginning 3rd century AD. . To sum up, this is a rare odd volume with a very good binding and contents is very tight, good & clean text, Some very minor light foxing, but foxing to title page. See all scans.
