The range of subjects is world-wide and covers many centuries of human endeavour including historic occasions, encounters and campaigns. This edition has tan hard covers with a young bugler on the front art with the British colours as background, the colour art spine decoration shows a soldier advancing with the colours. 404 pages, six colour art plates by Dugdale, including frontis, one b/w intext illustration. Hard covers are VG with light wear corners, spine extremities, Undated ink school prize inscription FFEP, text block otherwise excellent with few marks and isolated foxing spots.
