Anthology of verse from gold rush poet Dunham, Sam C(larke) Dunham (1855-1920). The collection is in two parts. Part I is composed of verses first published 1901 under the title "The Goldsmith of Nome and Other Verse" --- these were written when Dunham served as Statistical Expert of the Federal Bureau of Labor in Alaska, many of which appeared in newspapers including the New York Sun, The San Francisco Examiner, The Washington Post, and The Illustrated London News. Poetry presented in Part II were first published The Tonopah Minder while Dunham was editor of the paper.
