Soft cover. Condition: Fine. No Jacket. A pristine fine copy of what appears to be the first trade paperback edition of this important work. It not only contains the full text of the original 1975 hardback edition, but also a new preface from the editors. This is an unread copy, pretty much as it came from the bookseller. The white illustrated wrappers are clean and bright with only the most trivial of wear to the leading edge. The spine is entirely devoid of reading creases. A lovely copy overall. From the blurb of the hardback edition: "The wealth of new material contained in these letters helps to resolve issues that have been disputed for over thirty years: finally scholars can offer definitive answers to questions such as Roosevelt's alleged responsibility for bringing the United States into the war and the charge that the Western Allies failed to anticipate the Cold War".
