Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Included. Green Cloth. Very Good+/Good. First American. Hardback. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 162 pages; Christopher Norton Wright (1790-1871) wrote his autobiography beween 1813 and 1871, and intended it to be published after his death. 100 years later it was discovered by his great-grandaughter, Margaret P. Medlicott, who has edited his manuscript. The book gives a remarkably vivid picture of the times and of English middle-class social life and its author's heartfelt, candid recollections of many warm personal and amicable business relationships. Also notable was the fact that he married four times, three of his wives dying in connection with childbirth.
