Charming children's tale of 3 brothers on a quest, & how the youngest succeeds with the help of a magic tiger. in 48 pages with sepia-toned illustrations by Joe Servello on each. Author's second book & her first collaboration with Servello. A FIRST EDITION, first printing, from 1969, this hardcover small 4to has tan-orange cloth over boards stamped with a blue image to bottom front & blue lettering to spine. Condition is VG+: very clean & bright, binding strong & straight, hinges secure, pages lightly & evenly tanned, commensurate with age. Old gift inscription inside front cover in red, else unmarked. The unclipped DJ is Good, marred by rubbing to extremities, a few tiny tears, a name in black above title on cover & a small area of sticker pull after title, minor chipping, with a 1/2" chunk missing from head of spine.
