There is a vertical crease to the inner edge of one leaf and the bottom edges of the last several pages are lightly stained from the red dye. Good. First printing. Hardcover with partial dustjacket, there is an indent to the top half of the spine but the binding has not been compromised, the former owner's name is present on the blank front end-paper and there is some tanning along the hinges of the end-papers, also, a brown blemish to the beige cloth along the front gutter, the contents are fine, the jacket is missing most of the spine and the detached front and rear panels have some edge-wear, the jacket is clean and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included to hold it together, this rather scarce Book Club Edition features three unabridged stories by three individual authors.

Just a whisper of shelf/edge wear to Black cloth boards with red square panels/gilt titles on the spine and embossed murder weapons on the front covers (handguns, knives, swords, rifles, etc) - corners sharp. Endpapers are clean with no toning. No previous owner markings - all pages are clean and unmarked with no toning. Only flaw is a touch of foxing to the textblock edges on the outside. This is another fine example of uniform binding with a touch of panache from P.F. Collier & Sons.
