Page signatures are still mostly unopened. Wrappers have wear and light soil; upper fore-edge corners of leaves have some creasing; text clean. Inscribed by the translator Andre Belamich on the half-title page, "Avec les meilleurs souvenirs d' AB." Publisher's broadside advertisement for this book laid in loosely at front. 452 p.

Paris, Éditions NRF/Gallimard, collection de la Pléiade, impression de 1981, reliure en cuir caractéristique de cette collection avec jaquette en papier bi-partite et jaquette rhodoid et boitier de carton neutre, (lxi) 1841 pages. Le livre est sans reproche sauf pour une très très vague odeur d'humidité (je l'imagine peut-être tellement elle est subtile). La jaquette de papier est en excellent état bien qu'on puisse apercevoir à la marge gauche de la partie avant un léger cerne de mouillure (ce qui explique peut-être l'odeur). La jaquette rhodoid est une jaquette de remplacement donc elle est neuve (même épaisseur que les jaquettes habituelle). Enfin le boitier est bien complet et solide ne montrant qu'un certain jaunissement comme c'est souvent le cas.
