Features the article "Mines and Mineral Resources of Contra Costa County, California" by Fenelon F. Davis and Harold B. Goldman (pp. 501-583, pl. 5 in rear pocket; 6 figs., 4 photos); 'Research in Mining and the Mineral Industries in California (pp. 585-594); and the Index to Volume 54 (pp. 595-602). The contents appear clean, complete, and securely bound. Plate 5, a large, folded Geologic Map of Contra Costa Counting showing Mines, Quarries, and Gas Wells, also appears to be in excellent condition. Original gray wraps with a sunned spine and a red underling of 'Contra Costa County in the contents listing on the front cover. No ex-library markings!.
