Contains 324 printed pages of text with monochrome photographs of the film by David Lean. A little sun fading to the top of the spine, cheap paper browning. Very Good condition book in Very Good condition panoramic photographic dust wrapper with chips and related creasing to the spine ends and corners, one closed tear to the foot of the front gutter, not price clipped 8/6. 7.75 x 9.5 inch. Film director (1908-1991) best remembered for his adaptations of Charles Dickens s novels, as well as epics such as The Bridge on the River Kwai and Lawrence of Arabia. Vintage glossy 7.75 x 9.5 studio portrait of Lean in a handsome close-up pose, signed in fountain pen, "Best wishes, David Lean." Reverse bears a Roye photography copyright stamp. In very good to fine condition, with scattered light creasing.
