There are twelve separate pieces by roughly 15 writers. Two of the major themes are Head-Smashed-In project and Wood Buffalo National Par. John Foster offers the Metis persprctive, and the 1967 field notes from artist Clarence Tillenius make up chapter 6. Read more about : buffalo chips, Lake One, Mills Lake, Great Slave Lake, bovine tuberculosis, Sebastian Oosenbrug, Carl Tillenius, wolves, firebreaks, Qu 'Appelle River, Napi stories, and Dene Tha Indian Band. Some tabular data and a few b/w images add to the text. Some Paul Kane work (c. 1856) is reproduced in colour. Cond ; Paper wrapper is light blue with brown lettering. The wraps-around cover illustrration by Tillenius features a bison bull. Volume is clean, tight, square, and bright. No names nor marks. Minimal wear. Collectible quality ! !
