Soft Cover. Condition: Near Fine to Fine. Frank R. Paul (front covers) (illustrator). First Edition. ----------vintage chapbooks / stapled booklets, digest size. In 1942 Columbia issued these 6 undated but numbered (1-6) volumes as companions to their pulp magazines Science Fiction Stories and Science Fiction Quarterly. All contained one novella, were 24 pages long, had the same Frank R. Paul cover art, and the back covers were the completion of the novella and/or an advertisement for Columbia's pulp magazines. 1 volume has a faint front cover yellow stain, 2 have store stamps on the back covers, all show only modest wear, and are near fine or fine copies.

About near fine with supple white pages, a bit of wear at the extremities and some tape remnants on the edges of the rear wrap and spine ends. Includes the story "The Venus Adventure" written by John Beynon Harris, an early pseudonym of John Wyndham, best know for *The Day of the Triffids*, and predating his first book by several years. Additional contributors include Raymond Gallun, John Bertin, Captain S.P. Meek, J. M. Walsh, and Epaminondas T. Snooks.
