Buckram. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Two volume set in a cloth covered slipcase, in near fine condition. Published for the National Gallery of Art and part of the Ailsa Mellon Bruce Studies in American Art series. Volumes in half smooth treated white buckram with brown printing on spine, and half natural brown buckram. Both have a touch of tanning and spotting on the spines, otherwise fine. Slipcase has shelfwear with scrape marks on bottom, with a surface scratch on one side, and a bit of roughness on the upper inside corner tip of the other side. Thorough treatment of the life and art of Thomas Eakins with color and black and whit reproductions of his work.
