The Aeroplane in War by Claude Graham-White and Harry Harper Hardback, 'colonial edition' and presumed first edition or first edition thus, year unstated but appears to be 1912 (preface by authors dates from then), with 17 illustrations, published by T. Werner Laurie, London, 244 pages + xvi and 12-page publisher catalogue at rear.Octavo/8vo. Measures around 9 1/8" by 6 1/8" by 1 3/4". Blue cloth binding, black lettering to front board and spine. Considerable discolouration to spine and heavy tearing and chipping to top of spine with section missing and some tearing to base also. Scuffing and marking, signs of shelf-wear, slightly bumped corners. Some slackness to binding but reasonably firm, hinges appear intact, the odd strained area in textblock. Leaves have been opened unevenly in places and not neatly trimmed. Page edges also browned, marked and scuffed. A little staining and marking to endpapers, the odd mark to page surfaces but otherwise reasonably clean, no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information. 244 + xvi + 12 pp. n.
