Minor wear to ends of spine, owner name on front free endpaper, a couple of errant pen marks on fore edge of pages, and residual clear tape on front and rear pastedowns where dust jacket had been taped down. Dust jacket is price-clipped, has minor wear along top edge and has same pieces of clear tape along fore edges of flaps (since the flaps are white the clear tape hardly shows). Title originally published in 1946. This copy is the first state book, but presumably the second state jacket as the price has been clipped (the first state jacket had no price). Jacket design by B.
