Pages 164-165 with adhesive from sticker of a rose in middle of page (text of p. 164 only is affected.) Edges and corners of covers slightly worn. Cover illustration with some minor stray scratch marks.

First Edition Thus; First Printing. ; Navy cloth cover with gilt stamping and color pictorial is worn with lightly frayed corners and spine caps with scuffs to illustration and bumped corners but clean, bright, and in good+ condition. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is tight. Front end sheet and paste down split in gutter. Antiquated gift inscription on front end sheet dated "xmas1910". Very modest foxing to frontispiece border. Color plates very good and protected by tissue except Cadmus plate and tissue detached and laid-in with some light tattered along outer edge where it was stored slightly sticking out. Pages are lightly toned with very sparse thumbing but in very good condition.
