Large folding Auctioneers sale details of housing plots to be auctioned in Leek at the Red Lion Inn owned by Mr Gorman in 13 lots, each detailed and with the RARE addition of the area and house overhead elevation plan done by Surveyor Edwin Heaton, scale 11 yards to the inch. The plan names streets no longer in existence, Jolliffe St, Workhouse St, Compton St, with Messrs John Wreford & Company adjoining land mentioned and a Mr George Rogers land abutting the area concerned. Engraved by T. Buck, Market St, Leek. Some edge splits, but no loss, some light handling, but commensurate with age only nothing severe, plan has a few light thumb marks at edges and light fold lines, Outer edges have old strengthening pieces added and this sale plan was sent to Mr Clowes by Hacker and Bloore Solititors. Measures 42.5 x 55 cm.
