Henry Morgenthau, Sr. (1856-1946) was a German-born Jewish American lawyer and businessman best known as ambassador to the Ottoman Empire during World War One. He was one of the most prominent Americans to speak out on the Greek and Armenian genocides, stating, "I am firmly convinced that this is the greatest crime of the ages." Illustrated with photos.
