Pages slightly toned, minor soiling at endpapers, and water staining at top of front and rear pastedowns. Top edge gilt, other edges deckled. Illustrated with about 90 plates in b/w, mostly photographs. Red cloth boards decorated in gilt at front, and decorated and lettered in gilt at spine. Boards lightly soiled, top edges, top 3" of back board and top of spine waterstained, corners and spine top and tail rubbed. Tiny remnants of dustjacket stuck to top of spine and top of back board. Dark grey paper dust jacket decorated and printed in red, waterstained, chipped at corners and spine top and tail, 1" x 1 1/2" are of loss at spine, several tape repairs at inside. Binding firm.
