    Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. The Odyssey of Homer, printed in England in 1725 in five 5 small volumes. Period calf with gilt-titles, endpapers later replaced, hinges reinforced with linen tape. Collated and complete with illustrations as indexed.Binding with considerable wear, several covers on the verge of becoming detached.Corners very worn. Bindings weak. Internally, occasional underlining in graphite and light ink notes in margins, oily (candle?) stains on several pages ( text still visible), some pages dog-eared, thumbmarks. Previous owner's name inscriptions on half titles.The set apparently passed down through several generations, repeated POS with family name of Raymond. Requesting photographs prior to ordering is recommended. Overall good to very good. binding would need repair to secure covers and hinges.
