Hard grey mottled pattern boards with very minor rubbing to edghes/spine. Contents clean and tight but for very minor browning/soiling. Nice DW with minor rubbing/chipping to edges, minor soiling/browning. Owner's inscription to ffep. Charming B&W drawings by Mary Eden Collingwood throughout. The story of 6 months spent in Norway by Jeremy Hope, a British officer, immediately after the end of WW2, following the German capitulation. It gives a lighthearted view of an Englishman's impressions of Norway, and tells of the Norwegians celebrations of peace.
