The frontispage has a label affixed : "This third copy of Encyclopaedia Rhodesia was presented to The Minister of Education The Hon A P Smith, ID, MP November 1973 by the Directors of The College Press". A P Smith was Rhodesia's first Minister of Education. Signed by all four editors on the opp-title-page (facing). Fully bound in leather. The front board has, stamped in gilt, 'The Minister of Education / The Hon A P Smith, ID, MP'. The spine has five ridges. It has gilt impressed titling and borders. The boards are most handsome and healthy. Within, the contents are very mildly aged. They are benign in their benevolence. The presentation label is foxed. The frontis and end papers have storage foxing and wear. The early and later pages also have flecks of foxing.
