A collection of lectures given at the American School of Fine Arts, Palais de Fontainebleau, discussing both the historical practice of fresco painting in Italy and beyond, as well as discussing techniques for fresco painting. This is done with an eye toward reviving the art into then modern tastes, examining problems and solutions found in the practice of fresco painting. Jean Robert la Montagne Saint Hubert is credited with painting several Art Deco frescos found in the Grand Salon of the Fondation des Etas-Unis. GOOD+ condition. Moderate uneven browning and fading to the covers. Minor soiling, with some bumping, small tears and creasing along the extremities. Interior clean and solid with browning to the paper.
