Soft cover. Condition: Good. First Edition. 1st printing. 4to pictorial wraps. 63pp. Very nicely and fully illustrated by Randy Steffen, noted for his four volume set on the Cavalry of the Old West published by OU Press. While this title is relatively common, this copy has laid into it two items that a previous owner added: (1) Facsimile of a 1875 Wells, Fargo & Co. reward poster for arresting and convicting a robber of a gold note shipment on the rote from Sonora to Milton, and (2) a large color map, folded, of "Overland Routes of the Pioneer West." Size 18" x 24". Eight routes are traced. Very showy map, but as noted, folded and with a crease along the last fold. The book has a slight vertical bend and the back fore corner is creased. Good thus, but nevertheless an attractive combinations.
