An den namentlich nicht genannten Schweizer Musiker Alfred Pochon (1878-1959), indem sich Paderewski über die Glückwünsche von Pochon bedankt und beteuert, wie sehr ihm die Abwesenheit Pochons auf seinem Fest Riond Bosson" missfiel:Je vous remercie de tout coeur des voeux que vous avez bien voulu m'adresser. Il est inutile de vous dire combien j'ai regretté votre absence à Riond Bosson le jour de ma fête. Je vous prie de présenter mes hommages les plus respectueux à Madame Pochon et d'agréer pour vous meme l'expression de mes sentiments très amicalemont dévoués."Paderewskis Konzertdebüt war 1887 in Wien. Bald erlangte er große Beliebtheit und hatte Erfolge in Paris im Jahr 1889 und in London im Jahr 1890. Im Jahr 1891 wiederholte Paderewski seine Triumphe bei einer Amerika-Tournee. Seine Bühnenpräsenz, auffallendes Aussehen und immense Ausstrahlung trugen zu seinem Bühnenerfolg bei, der später in seinen politischen und wohltätigen Aktivitäten wichtig wurde. An den Schweizer Musiker Alfred Pochon (1878-1959) nach einem Besuch im Riond Bosson, bei dem sich die beiden durch einen unglücklichen Zeitpunkt verpassten. In ihm drückt Paderewski sein Bedauern aus und hofft auf einen erneuten Besuch des Schweizer Musikers: Je m'empresse de vous exprimer tous mes regrets d'avoir été privé du grand plaisir de vous voir hier, ainsi que Madame Pochon. Juste au moment de votre arrivée j'ai été pris d'un petit malaise, d'ailleurs sans aucune importance, et j'ai du me reposer pendant quelques instants. J'espérais vous retrouver en descendant à la salle à manger mais malheureusement j'ai appris que vous veniez de partir. Je vous souhaite beaucoup de plaisir pendant votre séjour à la montagne et j'espère qu'après votre retour vous nous ferez, à ma soeur et à moi, l'honneur de déjeuner à Riond Bosson. Ihre Entscheidung, das Anwesen zu kaufen, wurde stark von der Nähe vieler ihrer Bekannten in der Region beeinflusst, darunter auch Alfred Pochon. Zusätzlich wurden sie von dem Klima, der Schönheit der umliegenden Seen- und Berglandschaft und der Friedlichkeit der Gegend, die perfekt dafür war, dass Paderewski seine Lebensarbeit, die Oper "Manru", abschließen konnte, beeindruckt.
