Tan cloth with black cloth spine for white and red lettering; front cover black-stamped illustration of man in black suit and bow-tie, about to tip his hat to reader, while standing erect with "McL." pennant waving atop long pole he holds; top edge stained red; black endpapers. Top right corner bumped, other corners with very slight curls. No dustwrapper. Inscribed by 'Mark Epernay' : "For - - - - -[difficult to read] with all good wishes from Mark E.", continuing: "& much love from J.K.G as well. Cambridge, December 1963".
