Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. 1st Edition. H. Hallett & Co., Portland, ME. 1882. Condition is Fair. Decorative cloth covering as was customary at the time. Covers all Presidents from Washington to Arthur. The book was not sold in stores but was marketed door-to-door by Distributing Agents. The spine is starting to separate from pages. There is tape used to stabilize spine and cover. The boards show age and use. The writing is very entertaining and informative.

To which is added a chapter showing the hundred years' progress of the Republic. Illustrated with portraits of all the presidents engraved on steel, pictures of their private residences, and thirty other wood engravings of the most interesting scenes in thier lives, together with illustrations of the centennial jubilee. Brown embossed boards are rubbed and scuffed, edges fraying, spinecover edges tearing. Inside hinges cracking, significant foxing to end pages. Text pages have only a small amount of foxing, no markings in text. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" Tall.

Hardcover. Condition: Fair - Cash. No Jacket. First Edition. Yellow linen hardboards; black decorative borders, gold horizontal lines. Black lettering. Covers are darkened, soiled, severe rubbing to the spine ribs, ends, corners and edges. Rubbing completely exposes boards on edges and corners. Front hinge has been separated, sew back together, but remains unsewn at top. Back hinge has also been partially sewn on the bottom few inches. Spine edges have rubbing and tearing and show webbing and boards on edges. Writing on ffep and bfep. Webbing is exposed at the edge of the pastedowns in front and back. ffep to title page is completely seperated from book, just set inside. Front pages are soiled. Stock photos may not look exactly like the book.
