Cette affiche, publiée à Paris en 1914, personnifie l'annexion allemande en représentant une Alsacienne, la main enchaînée à un mur de briques. Au-dessous de l'image, le texte en gras déclare : "les Alsaciens et les Lorrains sont français !". Le texte dans la partie inférieure de l'affiche explique que l'Alsace et la Lorraine sont d'anciennes provinces de la France, et que les armées françaises se battent pour regagner ces territoires et rétablir l'unité du pays. L'affiche fut réalisée par Lucien Jonas (1880-1947), artiste de guerre officiel français qui se rendit à maintes reprises sur les lignes de front.
