Sans doute Borges considérait-il les lecteurs de la Pléiade comme des amis inconnus : il envisageait avec bonheur la perspective d'entrer dans cette "Bibliothèque". Non content d'autoriser cette édition, il a pris part à son élaboration jusqu'à l'extrême fin de sa vie : il a guidé le travail de traduction et d'annotation, en livrant avec générosité ses réflexions sur son oeuvre, et en indiquant quels textes oubliés il acceptait que l'on exhumât pour l'occasion.On parlerait volontiers d'édition définitive, si Borges n'avait écrit (dans sa préface à la traduction en vers espagnol du Cimetière marin de Valéry) que "l'idée de texte définitif ne relève que de la religion ou de la fatigue". - Nombre de page(s) : 1 vol. Testi in italiano, francese, inglese, neerlandese e spagnolo. La rivista afferma che pubblica solo testi inedite, mas il poema di Ezra Pound, The Study in Aesthetics, non era inedito. Dorso con mancanza alla base; mancano le copertine dei fascicoli, con le informazioni editoriali; ogni fascicolo comincia dalla pagina 1, manca solo la coperta; in uno dei fascicoli, una iscrizione dell'ex proprietario, con data, dicendo che ha ricevuto la rivista dallo stesso Marinetti. Con illustrazioni a colori o in nero di Giacomo Balla, Emilio Notte, Arnaldo Ginna, Fortunato Depero. Rarissimo.
