Original Cloth. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. First edition bringing these titles together in one volume. Sailing Alone Around the World was originally published by Sampson Low, Marston & Company in 1900 and Voyage of the Liberdade was originally published in 1894. This edition has a new eleven page introduction by Arthur Ransome. The spine is a little darkened, slight edge and surface wear to the boards and there is a spine lean. The edges of the pages are a little browned with light spotting. Light brown spotting to the endpapers with a few spots to the adjacent pages. Small notes in pencil to the half-title page - the book was originally owned by Sir. John Cockcroft the Nobel Prize winner and first Master of Churchill College. The pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. No jacket. First printing of this edition.
