Les impressions révolutionnaires des Malassis (originaires de Rouen) sont bien connues car contrairement aux imprimeurs relayant ou réimprimant des arrêts, édits et placards décidés à Paris et diffusés à l'identique, les Malassis les agrémentaient souvent de bois naïfs dans des bandeaux, ainsi que des lettrines et culs-de-lampe pour décorer les impressions.
