First Edition, stapled wraps, octavo, illustrated, 39 pp. Fantasy & Terror magazine was a delightful blend of macabre fantasy edited by the most estimable Ms Salmonson. It consists mostly of literary short poems, proems and tales, with occasional nonfiction articles. Ghost stories, folk-tales, and odd little poems & monstrosities abound, usually about half old and half new, and nearly all are rare. Most authors are not widely known but Edna St. Vincent Millay, Mary Elizabeth Counselman, R.L. Stevenson, A. Bierce, Janet Fox, Thomas Wiloch, J.A. Salmonson, T. Ligotti, J.P. Brennan, Wendy Wees, and others are likely to pop up. Issue #13 has more rare items about ghosts, vampires, witches, etc by Harriet Beecher Stowe, Leah Bodine Drake, Camilla Doyle, Zona Gale, many more. Some rust on staples, else a fine copy.

Jules Remedios Faye (b. 1958) is an American author, editor, letterpress printmaker, bookbinder, teacher, and creator of artistsÕ books. With husband Christopher Stern, now deceased, she established Stern & Faye Printers, a letterpress print shop and hand bookbindery located in Mt Vernon, WA. Faye teaches, curates and participates in bookarts exhibits and events throughout the Skagit Valley and Puget Sound area. Small quarto. Unpaginated. Five color woodcut illustrations. Illustrated, printed, and bound by the author. The linoleum blocks were printed on a Vandercook 4 and the text was printed on a C&P platen press. The paper used is Rives BFK. Faux emerald water serpent skin (paper) with paper label on front cover, accordion-style binding. Corners slightly rubbed. Signed by the author on the colophon. A fine copy. One of a lettered edition of 26 copies. This copy is marked "proof copy.".
