Dark blue decorated boards with gilt decoration and titling, slightly worn at top and bottom of covers and spine, some splits to hinges but book holding together well, spine slightly dulled and rubbed, corners slightly worn and bruised, internally clean and tight, slight lean. 451pp, illustrated. Jean Jules Jusserand (1855-1932), French scholar and diplomat, who, as French ambassador to Washington, helped persuade the United States to enter World War I.
