Hard Cover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Karalus, Karl E. (illustrator). First Edition. This book is green with the title, author, and publisher on the spine in gold and the publisher engraved on the front cover without color. The endpapers are brown without any marks. Karalus has hatched and cross-hatched pen-and-ink drawings throughout the book. The frontispiece features a picture of a large fish looking up through the water at a frog. There is very little wrong with the book's facade. Its covers, endpapers, and the faces of its pages are all pristine. The edges of the pages, however have yellowed over time and are peppered with some spots. The dust jacket is also in good condition. Covered in vinyl, it's completely intact, with only some wearing at the edges and folds. Both the front and back flaps are taken up by a synopsis of the book. The jacket features an illustration on the front of a cattail in a lake, and on the back a photograph of the author with a small biography. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
