Julia Lake Kellersberger (1897-1986), b. Linden, Alabama; d. Melbourne, Florida, was a missionary to the Congo with the Presbyterian Church in the U.S., and writes from Bibanga, Congo Belge. She was the second wife of the medical missionary Eugene Roland Kellersberger (1888-1966), who "founded the Bibanga Medical School and Hospital and the Bibanga Agricultureal Colony (leprosarium). He became and ordained minister of the PCUS in 1924. He married Julia Lake Skinner in 1930 and together they served as missionaries to the APCM until 1940, when Dr. Kellersberger was elected General Secretary of the American Mission to Lepers.Often accompanied by his second wife, who served as the Promotional Secretary of the Agency, Dr. Kellersberger visited leprosy colonies and hospitals throughout the world, raising funds and awareness about the disease." - Presbyterian Historical Society at Archivegrid online.
