Third Draft script for the 1988 film, seen here under the working title "Double Duty." Manuscript pencil and ink annotations to the title pages of both scripts. A college dropout and general sadsack is called for jury duty, and discovers his childhood crush at the center of the trial, accused for murder. He subsequently tries to prove her innocence and thereby win her love. Set in Santa Barbara, shot on location in St. Augustine, Florida. Self wrappers. Title page present, dated March, 1986, noted as 3rd Draft, with credits for screenwriters Michael Kaplan and John Levenstein. 125 leaves, with last page of text numbered 124. Xerographic duplication, rectos only. Pages Very Good plus, with title page separated from the binding, bound with three gold brads.
