In the preface Kohanski writes: " In this book I analyze man's efforts to establish his spiritual boundaries in an ever growing scientific-technological proliferation which he himself has created. Now that he has arrived at a critical stage, he must reach out for a new orientation in the realities of his extended technological skills. He must temper his technology with a new outlook in philosophy." Perhaps even more true 41 years later.
