Stapled Wrappers. Condition: Near Fine. Kirby, Jack, Sam Grainger, Sam Rosen and Jean Izzo (illustrator). 1st Edition. A pleasing copy of Astonishing Tales #2 from October 1970 featuring Ka-Zar, Kraven and Dr. Doom. Included is a Marvel Super Heroes Dr. Doom action figure on card with Power Driven Weapons produced by ToyBiz in 1990. It is housed in a fitted Zoloworld protective display case. A great addition to the collection of any Marvel enthusiast. This issue of AS tells two stories - "Frenzy on the Fortieth Floor" with Ka-Zar and Kraven the Hunter (the latter character to be the subject of a forthcoming Marvel film) and "Revolution!" with Dr. Doom, Master of Menace. The covers are bright. Surface wear along the spine of the front cover, and the bottom corner of the front cover is softly turned. Flecks of foxing are visible along the top and spine edges of the back cover. No tears or markings by a previous owner. The Dr. Doom action figure is very well preserved. The card lies flat, the colors are bright and the corners are sharp. The plastic bubble has taken-on a green tinge, presumably from the figure, and it is firmly attached to the card. A Toys"R"Us sticker is affixed to the front panel. There is a dent in the surface of the top edge of the card, near the left edge. And there is a second, less apparent dent in the bottom edge of the card, which is partially hidden by the bubble. The card will be shipped in a fitted Zoloworld protective display case to ensure it will arrive in the condition described. Visit our ABE Storefront to browse our catalog of Comic Books and Action Figures on Card. Canadian buyer will be charged applicable taxes.
